In October 2025, Dong Xun undertook the demand for 9 sets of dies from the U.S.-based Sensience Group. (This project will be transferred to Innovaxe, a Malaysian factory under the Orienson Group, at a later stage.) Sensience Group is a world-renowned enterprise in the thermostat field, and the detailed introduction to this business is as follows:
Sensience Group, formerly known as THERM-O-DISC, was founded in Mansfield, Ohio, USA in 1945. It was acquired by Blackstone Group in 2023 and renamed thereafter. As a globally leading manufacturer of high-precision sensing, control, and sealing components, its products are applied in fields such as home appliances, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. It has 7 manufacturing plants and more than 3,000 employees worldwide.
The products corresponding to this batch of dies are made of a variety of materials, including stainless steel, cold-rolled steel, H62 brass, etc. Among them, stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and strength; cold-rolled steel features good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy; and H62 brass possesses favorable electrical conductivity and processability. These materials can meet the performance requirements of different components of thermostats.
Processes Surface treatment includes nickel plating, tin plating, heat treatment, and ultrasonic cleaning. Nickel plating and tin plating can enhance the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity of the product surface; heat treatment helps improve the mechanical properties of materials; and ultrasonic cleaning is used to remove contaminants such as oil stains and impurities from the die surface, ensuring the surface quality of the dies.
