Can Copper Be Stamped?

Can Copper Be Stamped?

Copper can be stamped into various products, copper is one of the most used stamping materials in our factory, it can be divided into different types, such as bronze, brass, pure copper, copper-nickel alloy, etc.

Can Copper Be Stamped?

Orienson can provide reasonable material choosing proposals to the customer based on the product's function with professional technology and experience.

Benefits of Copper Stamping

Corrosion Resistance of Copper Stamping
Corrosion Resistance
Corrosion Resistance

Copper and copper alloys have good corrosion resistance in environments where electronic or electrical equipment is produced, stored, and used. Especially beryllium copper. The surface inhibition of chemical substances (BTA) helps to reduce oxide formation and protect against atmospheric and harmful media corrosion.

Decorative Appeal of Copper Stamping
Decorative Appeal
Decorative Appeal

All things made of copper have one thing in common, that is, after being cast and cooled, they all feel very smooth and comfortable. That's why many artists choose copper for their sculptures. Many very old buildings still look as good as new after many years of weathering.

Good Ductility of Copper Stamping

Good Ductility

Pure copper has high ductility and is easy to forge. It can be rolled into very thin copper sheets or drawn into very fine copper wires.

Antibacterial Properties of Copper Stamping

Antibacterial Properties

Because copper ions possess protein toxic, which can reduce the spread of bacteria contact. Copper material is mostly used in the medical and health industry, such as hospital door handles, bed handrails, drip racks, etc.

Electrical Conductivity of Copper Stamping

Pure copper conductivity is the best, the core of a copper wire is made of relatively pure copper.

Thermal Conductivity of Copper Stamping
Thermal Conductivity
Thermal Conductivity

The materials with Good thermal conductivity often possess properties of fast heat absorption as well as fast heat dissipation. Copper thermal conductivity is second only to silver according to the metal thermal conductivity list, so it can be seen that copper is very suitable for manufacturing fast heat dissipation electrical appliances.

Application Of Copper Stamping

  1. Pure copper has good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, excellent plasticity, easy to cold & hot press processing. Widely used in electrical switches, electronic parts, air conditioning tubes, automobile connecting plates.

  2. Brass is cheap with a golden appearance. It is commonly used in copper jewelry, construction hardware, heat exchange tubes, mercury, power cylinders, etc.

  3. With the main addition of nickel in an alloy of copper, it becomes white copper. Medical instruments, precision instruments, clock parts, and so on are cast mainly with white copper.

  4. Bronze originally refers to copper-tin alloy, later is called bronze in addition to brass white copper alloys. It's widely used in a tripod, bell, bearing, gear, and other wear reduction and casting parts.

What Are The Types Of Surface Treatments For Copper Stamping Parts?

What Are The Types Of Surface Treatments For Copper Stamping Parts?

1. Light cleaning: Mainly means the surface stains, impurities, spots, oil stains, and other dirt thoroughly cleaned, restore the bright color of copper itself.

2. Passivation: Passivation is mainly used to prevent oxidation and corrosion, which can effectively protect the surface of copper parts.

3. Anodic oxidation: The use of electrolytic method to form an oxide film on the surface, change the surface state and performance, such as surface coloring, improve corrosion resistance, enhance wear resistance and hardness.

4. Electroplating: The purpose of electroplating is to coat the copper substrate with a metal coating. Electroplating can enhance the corrosion resistance of copper, increase hardness, prevent wear, improve electrical conductivity, smoothness, heat resistance, and beautiful surface.
